About Us
Who we are, why the association was founded, and how we support autistic people and their families.
Benden Sonra Otizmle Yaşam Derneği (BSOYD) is a non-governmental organization dedicated to supporting individuals with autism in fully and independently participating in social life, mitigating families' concerns about the future, and raising societal awareness. The association aims to improve the quality of life for individuals with autism by enhancing their access to qualified education, rehabilitation, and social opportunities, while establishing solidarity networks and long-term security to ease parental worries about their children's future.
Our main mission is to advocate for the improvement of the quality of life for people with autism and their families, to give them access to accurate information and to ease their access to social, educational and psychological services. We are working to increase public awareness for autism, to fight against prejudice and contribute to the creation of inclusive policies. We are focusing on creating solutions that are respectful of individual differences, rights-based and sustainable. We are moving in this direction with an understanding based on science.
